 Water Management Initiatives at Alila

Alila Fort Bishangarh has undertaken several steps towards maintaining a greener and healthier environment. The hotel undertook a host of multi-faceted programmes to not only improve its own environment, but also to propagate environmental causes. With the guiding principle of  ‘Reduce, Reuse and Recycle’. The hotel has its own programme, encompassing local participation, creating awareness among employees and implementing water conservation best practices.

Key Water Management initiatives at the hotel:

  • 0% discharge of sewage water to municipal drainage
  • 100% sewage water is treated using STP and reused for irrigation
  • Low/Dual flush has been installed
  • Low flow tap/faucet fitting has been installed
  • Low flow shower fitting has been installed
  • Outside areas are swept instead of washing down using water
  • Sensor based urinals are installed in public washroom
  • All Plumbing are checked for leaks on regular basis
  • Water harvesting pits are made to collect rainwater
  • Water sprinklers are installed for irrigation in the gardens
  • Sensors has been installed in water tank to prevent overflow
  • Vehicles are cleaned with wet duster instead of washing down
  • Low flow pre rinse is installed in dishwashing area
  • Rainwater charging stations done for all borewell points.
