How does your workplace embrace equality?
At Novotel Kolkata Hotel & Residences, we embrace equality by creating an environment that values diversity and inclusion for heartists. We believe in providing equal opportunities to all heartists regardless of gender, race, or other characteristics. Embracing equity in the workplace means that everyone is treated with respect and dignity. It also implies equitable action being taken where all my fellow heartists feel inclusive and are part of the bigger global picture like RiiSE network in the organization, to grow together and can make a difference through our work respectively.
As a woman, how do you make sure that you embrace equality? When you are the decision maker how do you make sure you are not gender biased?
As a heartist, and being part of the RiiSE global community, at Novotel Kolkata we believe in embracing equality with a conscious and limitless effort to challenge and overcome all adversaries in the forefront. Ultimately, our singular goal is to work towards making a difference through our individual efforts and to push forward a commitment of promoting gender equality sustained by equitable actions for growth and development.
Do you believe that gender inclusive policies are justified with an increasing number of women in the industry while still not being a 50% strength or close?
At Novotel Kolkata, we have a strong system of embracing equity where every heartist team member is given an equal opportunity to grow and develop their skillset irrespective of their background or gender. Having been part of the industry for some time, I have had the wonderful opportunity with inspiring leaders in the industry for some time who have always pushed us to grow and do our best. Over the period of time, we believe that industry will grow towards achieving its objective of having more women leaders in the industry.
