Mumbai, February 21, 2024: The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Mumbai Office in association with the Phuket Tourist Association recently concluded the Endless Phuket Roadshow 2024 on 19th and 20th February 2024 in Mumbai and Chennai respectively with an aim to highlight the diverse attractions of Phuket and expanding business ties with the travel trade fraternity in India, 

The event held in The St Regis, Mumbai was attended by eminent dignitaries such as H.E. Donnawit Poolsawat, the Consul-General of the Royal Thai Consulate, and Mr Thaneth Tantipiriyakij, the President of Phuket Tourist Association. Likewise, the roadshow held in Hilton Chennai was graced by the presence of Ms Pornpan Jankrajang, Deputy Consul General Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chennai. The two-city affair saw 29 sellers from the region, inclusive of Thai hoteliers, DMCs and attraction promoters interact with over 125 Indian travel agents, sharing crucial destination knowledge, and exploring productive business relationships.

“Phuket is a cherished destination among Indian travellers, and I am happy to report that the region has experienced an 81.6% recovery from 2019 in terms of inbound Indian travellers. The Endless Phuket Roadshow 2024 assisted us in further engaging with travel agents to successfully showcase the unique attractions and experiences in the region, both popular and lesser known. Our positive business engagement with travel agents will aid us in more effectively tapping into the Mumbai and Chennai markets, attracting a greater number of Indians to the island in the coming months.”
