Do you feel guests these days are more health conscious? And how has healthy lifestyle choices of guests impacts the trends of the hospitality industry?

In the recent years, there has been a growing trend towards wellness and healthy which has had a significant impact on the Indian hospitality industry as the guests are increasingly becoming more health conscious. The rising awareness among people about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle has translated into their travel habits as well. Today’s guests are more conscious about what they eat, how they exercise, and their overall wellbeing.

The impact of this trend on the hospitality industry has been significant as the hoteliers have to cater to the changing needs and preferences of guests. Hotels and resorts must offer a range of

wellness and fitness services. This includes healthy dining options, fitness centres, yoga sessions, and spa treatments. The demand for these services is on the rise, and hotels that offer them are often viewed as more desirable and top pick by the guests.

Furthermore, hotels are increasingly emphasizing on the sustainability and eco-friendly elements in their operations, recognizing the impact that the environment has on guest health and wellbeing. This encompasses the usage of natural and organic products, reducing waste, and conserving resources.

At large, the trend towards healthy living has had a positive impact on the hospitality industry. It has compelled the hotels to become more innovative in their offerings, by creating new opportunities for growth and to stand out in a competition heavy market. As a Cluster General Manager, I believe that this trend will continue to shape the industry, and that hotels who adapt to the evolving needs of guests will be at the top of the ladder in the coming years.
