We at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar have taken many steps to streamline / enhance the efficiency of all systems such as the installation of the demand control system which helps the property synchronize the entire HVAC equipment to the best of its performance and efficiency. We have installed heat recovery wheels to recover maximum cooling energy from guest room exhausts, the solar panels installed at the property helps us generate the electrical energy. Sewage treatment plant with ultra-filtration enables us to use 100% of the waste water and convert it into recycled water which is then used for HVAC, gardening and for flushing systems for the entire property. Sensor water taps in the public area and the back of the hotel are installed , the guest rooms have dual flush WC equipped to help us conserve water. Use of solar lighting systems in all the external lighting systems, occupancy sensor based lighting system in the back of the hotel. In addition to that the entire hotel is equipped with an LED lighting system which helps us conserve maximum energy. Organic waste convertor installed converts waste into compost for healthy gardening practices. The water bottling plant at the property reduces the plastic consumption levels. Rain water harvesting system is in place to recharge all the monsoon water into ground. We also have high efficiency air handling units with VFD installations.
Our statistics show that the installation of a demand flow control system in the HVAC system has made 5,43,000 electrical savings for a year. LED lighting installation and building management system has also helped us to reduce remarkable electrical consumption. The condensate heat recovery system which has reduced the consumption of steam boiler PNG drastically. The glass water bottling plant installation has helped the property reduce plastic consumption.
