Sofitel Mumbai BKC, the elegant, luxury hotel in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex, has appointed Viraj Kadam as their new Executive Housekeeper.
Viraj began his career at The Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai International Airport in 2010, as Assistant Housekeeping Manager. In 2017, he joined The Westin Mumbai Garden City as Executive Housekeeper, his most recent role before becoming a part of the Sofitel Mumbai BKC family.
In his roles, Viraj has actively been responsible for team training, coordinating with operations departments to ensure smooth handovers of rooms, understanding and supporting loss prevention policies and procedures, supervising daily shift operations, helping to ensure exceptional customer service, analyzing monthly MIS reports with a focus on budgets and actual consumption, and working in tandem with the HR department to support training initiatives for all current and new associates.
Viraj has achieved a BSA (Brand Standard Audit) score of 100.8% in 2023 at his previous role, becoming a Master Certified Departmental Trainer by APEC L&D. Additionally, he possesses two years of experience in spa and rooms management. Viraj has also been routinely awarded Manager of the Month/Year awards at both prior roles.
In his free time, Viraj is passionate about dance, having completed Level 02 at the Shiamak Davar Institute of Dance Academy.
