This strategic plan is designed to positively impact all stakeholders of FHRAI nationally and internationally, ushering in a new era of growth and innovation in the hospitality landscape.
FHRAI’s vision for 2024 encompasses the establishment of the Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality (CETH), envisioned as a leading national resource centre for tourism research and knowledge dissemination. Through research excellence and evidence-based policy advocacy, CETH aims to support India’s tourism sector in achieving global competitiveness and sustainability. With a focus on research excellence, CETH will undertake comprehensive studies, publish research papers, and disseminate information to stakeholders across the tourism ecosystem. By fostering collaboration among industry experts, policymakers, and academia, CETH seeks to promote evidence-based policy advocacy and drive positive change in the sector.
CETH’s programs and activities include research publications, policy dialogues, thematic conferences, investment facilitation, and the promotion of sustainability initiatives. Through these initiatives, CETH aims to address key challenges facing the tourism sector and explore opportunities for growth and innovation. In terms of financial viability, CETH aims to become a self-sustainable entity by leveraging revenue streams such as research assignments, publications, events, and consultancy services. To further solidify their service towards skill development, FHRAI is equipping the FHRAI Institute of Hospitality Management (IHM) with state-of-the-art facilities, fostering collaborations and through sustained quality improvement efforts to support hospitality education in India and prepare future leaders for the dynamic industry landscape. The Federation aims to raise FHRAI – IHM as an institution of excellence in hospitality education in the country.
Not only this, after a hiatus of five years, the Annual Convention of FHRAI is set to make a return, gathering influential voices, thought leaders, and luminaries from the hospitality sector and government echelons. Scheduled at The Taj Cidade de Goa Convention Centre from October 16th to 18th, 2024, the 54th Annual Convention of FHRAI promises enriching deliberations and innovative insights, signalling a new chapter in industry collaboration and development.
