New Delhi, June 24, 2022: Global hospitality technology company OYO has announced a special discount scheme for small and medium scale businesses on the occasion of World MSME Day. As part of the scheme business travellers will be eligible to avail up to 60% discount on their stay in OYO hotels. They will have the opportunity to choose from more than 10000 rooms available in approximately 2000 OYO properties across the country offering this discount. The scheme is valid from June 27 to July 3, 2022 for a period of one week.
This is an initiative by the company to recognise the contribution of the MSME sector towards the economic growth of the country. A joint report by ASSOCHAM and CRISIL estimates that the MSME sector accounts for 27% of GDP and employs more than 11 crore people in approximately 6 crore business units across the country. The industry is fast adapting the digital route to scale up operations.
Speaking on the development, Shreerang Godbole, Senior Vice President, Product & Chief Service Officer, OYO said “ A lot of our customers are employees or owners of small and medium businesses. They choose us since we are able to provide easy to book, conveniently located, competitively priced clean, hygienic hotels even at a short notice. In addition to this, there are many other advantages as well including single invoice and point of contact and single vendor registration.
The special pricing for such businesses on the occasion of World MSME day is our way of encouraging and respecting these businesses which are powering India’s progress and growth and benefiting communities around them in the process.
We will continue to do all that we can to remain the stay of first choice for all these businesses.”
Businesses can avail the offer by just booking on OYO’s app, website, online travel platforms and showing their business card at the time of check-in.
