At RAAS we believe it’s our core team, our people, who make us who we are. And there  have been a few key personnel movements that we would like to share with you.

Prasoon Pandey, General Manager

An alumnus of The Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development, Pandey’s an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience. While he joins us from

Vana, Dehradun where he was the General Manager, his resume includes instrumental roles in the opening of such hallmark properties as The Oberoi,

Udaivilas, Trident BKC Mumbai and The Oberoi, New Delhi. Pandey brings with him a wealth of knowledge across various hospitality departments.

“Together, with my tremendously driven, dedicated and diverse team, I hope to achieve even greater milestones and improve the guest experience at RAAS,”

says Pandey, commenting on his new role.

Sanjeev Sharma, General Manager

Sharma joined RAAS in 2015 as Executive Chef after having helmed hotel kitchens in India and the UK. He soon also took over as Head, F&B Operations

and has pioneered the hotel’s conceptual dining offerings, including its Ayurveda-centric menus. Prior to RAAS, through his 20-year career Sharma has

worked with noted hotel chains such as The Oberoi, Marriott, Radisson and Hilton. Sharma took over as General Manager in June 2022. “I always believe

in the phrase ‘Good is not good when better is expected’,” says Sharma who intends to excel in his new role by creating experiences – culinary and otherwise – to remember.

Devendra Singh Rathore, Camp Manager

Rathore has risen up the ranks at RAAS through sheer hard work and perseverance. He joined RAAS in 2007 as a management trainee at RAAS Devigarh. After earning his stripes in Housekeeping at that property, Rathore moved to RAAS Jodhpur as Executive Housekeeper. Through his stint at the property, he also managed operations of the Stepwell Café. “RAAS Chhatrasagar is unlike any other property, even within RAAS,” says Rathore. “As a luxury campsite on a rewilded estate it’s rich in natural experiences, which makes it very special. I hope to bring all the experience I have gathered through my years at RAAS to make the guest experience equally rich and special, if not more.”

Vaneet Wadhera, General Manager

Before joining RAAS in 2021, Wadhera was the Executive Chef at Indian  Accent, New York. Over his 28-year career, Wadhera’s cheffed, managed  hotels and opened restaurants across India and in destinations like Hong Kong  and New York. In 2014, he was awarded the Silver Hat by the Indian Culinary  Forum, a top honour for any Indian chef. “Rajmahal is an iconic property and  it’s privilege to lead the guest experience here,” says Wadhera. “Over the  years it’s come to be known for its eclectic design. But even in the short time  I’ve been here, we’ve upped our culinary game and have cherry-picked a set  of unique experiences that will show visitors the various facets of Jaipur. The  path forward, as I see it, leads up and up.”

Saurajit Nanda, Operations Manager

Nanda joined RAAS Jodhpur back in 2015, as an Assistant Food and  Beverage Manager. His excellent administrative skills saw him rise up the  corporate ladder to become Food & Beverage Manager and later as Camp  Manager at RAAS Chhatrasagar, in 2018. A position he held till he accepted  his new assignment, at Rajmahal, earlier this year. “From being serious about  Mother Earth, a sustainable lifestyle, living plastic free and even convincing my  family and friends about caring for nature and people around us, RAAS has  impacted my life in many ways. I strongly feel my extended family is here who  cares for me”
