J W Marriott Hotel, Kolkata is delighted to announce the appointment of Gaurahari Rana as the Director of Services. With a substantial background in the hospitality industry, Gaurahari brings a wealth of experience and leadership to his new role.
Gaurahari Rana is recognized for his friendly and engaging leadership style, known to inspire teams to deliver their best. His expertise as a detail-oriented Housekeeper is complemented by a track record of successful staff training and recruitment. Gaurahari has consistently ensured excellent customer service and satisfaction throughout his career.
In addition to his extensive experience, Gaurahari has received notable awards such as The Best Leader and the Care for Business Award, highlighting his dedication and contributions to the industry.
Born on June 8, 1982, Gaurahari Rana is a graduate of the Central Institute of Hotel Management, Bhubaneswar, in 2005.In his current role as the Director of Services at Hotel JW Marriott, Kolkata, Gaurahari oversees a range of responsibilities. This includes managing staff providing supportive services to clients, coordinating efforts of social workers and staff, and ensuring the smooth implementation of new programs based on client needs. His leadership extends to maintaining accurate client progress records, addressing complaints, and developing pricing structures for services.
Before joining J W Marriott Hotel, Kolkata, Gaurahari held significant roles in other prestigious establishments. These include serving as the Director of Services at The Westin, Goa, from January 2021 to December 2023. Before that, he was the Executive Housekeeper at W Goa and Assistant Executive Housekeeper at St. Regis Mumbai.
