The COVID-19 pandemic caused a widespread disruption amongst almost every industry, however, hospitality has undoubtedly been the most hard hit.

During this unprecedented time The Soaltee Kathmandu collaborated with Bir Hospital-National Academy of Medical Science (NAMS) to launch project ‘Samyog’. The project is a joint program of Bir Hospital (NAMS) and The Soaltee Kathmandu. It included training, demonstrations, implementation plan and evaluations for training the hygiene team of Bir Hospital to enhance the hygiene and cleanliness standards of the hospital together with the clinically sanitized environment. Soaltee developed the training materials and manuals by sharing hygiene related documents and knowledge between the five-star hospitality sector in hospital and clinical best practices in the hospital sector to hotel hygiene.

Nyanopan is a non-profit organization based in Nepal which was founded by Captain Vijay Lama (Celebrity and pilot of the national carries Nepal Airlines). The organization supports vulnerable children and women by providing shelter, education and creating opportunities to a better life. Soaltee Kathmandu joined hands with Nyanopan to support their cause annually and have donate a sum to NPR 100,000 to initiate the partnership.
