HRAWI Conducts FSSAI’s FoSTaC Programme In Goa

Mumbai, August 03: The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI) in collaboration with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) successfully concluded its latest Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering

Mumbai, August 03: The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI) in collaboration with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) successfully concluded its latest Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) programme on July 27 at the Hotel Manoshanti in Goa. The intensive training witnessed participation of 39 hospitality professionals, equipping them with the essential knowledge and skills to ensure safe and healthy food practices. The initiative underlines the industry’s commitment to meeting the demands of health-conscious and food safety-aware consumers.

The FoSTaC programme was inaugurated by Dr Praveen Andrews – Trainer, Mr Digambar Mangeshkar – Operation Manager of Hotel Manoshanti; Mr Hemanshu Chauhan – Assistant Secretary General, HRAWI and Mr Sandeep Bhaud – Assistant IT Manager, HRAWI.

Through FoSTaC programmes, participants immerse themselves in critical areas of operations in hospitality environment, gaining a comprehensive understanding of food safety practices and honing the skills required to implement them efficiently in daily operations. HRAWI has successfully trained and certified 2686 professionals in FSSAI’s FoSTaC Training Program.

The Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India) is a 72 years old Association of Hotels and Restaurants in Western India. Its members include Restaurants and Hotels up to 5-Star Deluxe categories. With membership base spread across Western India, HRAWI covers Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa and Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, and is considered to be the voice of the Hotel Industry. The association is part of the national body of Federation of the Hotels & Restaurants Associations of India (FHRAI), located in New Delhi, which was originally founded in Mumbai in 1950 by the late Mr J.R.D. Tata.
