Perched on the 21st floor of the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru, Copitas offers breath-taking panoramic views of the city by night and has established itself as the foremost cocktail destination in Bengaluru. The hotel’s commitment to providing guests with innovative and personalised experiences sets it apart and the beverage program is no exception; especially now with Jonas Vittur bringing a wealth of global experiences to Copitas and promising a new and exciting chapter for all patrons.

His journey in the world of bartending is both eclectic and distinguished. Starting off at Dishoom Kings Cross in London, a concept inspired by the Irani Cafés in Bombay, he quickly established a connection with India. “I chose bartending as a profession for many reasons but to name one apart from pursuing my passion is that it combines the versatility of both worlds, front-of-house and back-of-house dynamics. After the pandemic I was looking for a new big challenge; so, when the opportunity came across to move to India, I saw it as my calling.” says Jonas. His Indian bartending adventure continued as he assumed the role of Bar Director & Mixology Consultant at Whisky Samba, Gurugram, ranking 24th in the 30 Best Bars India list for 2023.

Before his Indian sojourn, Jonas delivered his vision at the Nature Spa Resort Quelle in Italy as well as at High Five in Tokyo, which propelled him into the elite circles of the world’s best bars. With a style that’s uniquely his own, Jonas also served as a Senior Bartender at Le Lion – Bar de Paris in Hamburg achieving the remarkable feat of ranking 19th in the World’s 50 Best Bars in 2015.

Although Jonas has only ever spent one night in Bengaluru for a business meeting, his brief encounter with the city set the stage for his exciting venture with this dynamic destination and Copitas. “Jonas’s rich global experiences, passion for the craft, and unique perspective will undoubtedly contribute to the exceptional service and atmosphere our guests expect.” says Savio Fernandes, Director of Food and Beverage. “His journey, from the Italian Alps to the bustling streets of Bengaluru, reflects the diverse and dynamic spirit of Four Seasons and we look forward to seeing the unique flavours and energy he will bring to Copitas.”

Hailing from a small town in the picturesque South Tyrol, a German-speaking province in the Italian Alps, Jonas brings a unique blend of Alpine charm and global bartending expertise to the city’s glamorous cocktail destination. When Jonas is not at the bar curating concoctions, he enjoys the adrenaline-fueled sport of ice hockey, cruising on his motorbike, and hiking.
