Institute of Bakery & Culinary Arts students participated in Culinary Art India (Aahar) 2023. This year’s edition of the event has brought together some of the best culinary talents across the country, where participants can showcase their skills and innovative recipes. The event aims to honor, educate, and celebrate deserving chefs while providing them with a platform to present their culinary expertise. The IBCA students won 1 Gold, 3 Silver, and 17 Bronze, medals.
Sahej Preet Kaur won the Gold medal (Chocolate Arts), Diksha Khandelwal won Silver Medal (Pre Plated Desserts), Oshien Kaur Sihra won Silver Medal (Petit four ) and Latta mittal won Silver Medal (drees the cake). Through engaging in the competition, students learn to appreciate their own working skills, gain valuable life skills by working as a team, gain confidence by presenting and speaking about their recipes and develop culinary skills that they can use later in life.
“The event was a great opportunity for all the participants to showcase their talent and learn from most of the famous, illustrious, and celebrity chefs, as well as their friends, colleagues and business leaders. We are grateful to Culinary Art India (Aahar) for providing a platform to our students and acknowledging their efforts and experience in the hospitality sector. I am very proud of my students who won awards for their institute and thanks to Chef Tarun for his support.
He also expressed a special thanks to the Indian Culinary Forum team for organizing such a successful event at Aahar 2023.”
