● How does your workplace embrace equality?

It has always been my intention to promote fairness and equality at work, starting with the tone at the top, and by implementing specific initiatives aimed at creating awareness, reviewing our working methods to reduce unconscious bias, and measuring our progress both quantitatively and qualitatively.

● As a woman, how do you make sure that you embrace equality? When you are the decision maker how do you make sure you are not gender biased?

I clearly believe young people around the world are stepping up for gender equality. When we empower and educate young advocates about women’s rights, we are ensuring a better future for us all.

● Do you believe that gender inclusive policies are justified with an increasing number of women in the industry while still not being a 50% strength or close?

No, gender inclusive policies are not justified, as it should be the same for all, regardless of gender. A woman in today’s world can only fully take advantage of an opportunity if she is treated equally for it and has the same chances to acquire it as a man.

● How does your workplace embrace equality?

My commitment to equality in the workplace goes beyond ticking boxes. As a matter of fact, it’s almost impossible to say that it’s ever ‘done’. Toward equality for me means having an inclusive and safe work environment, which offers equal opportunities, equal pay, and most importantly – accepting and celebrating everyone for their unique differences. Not just workplace leaders, but everyone in the workplace should keep this in mind.

● As a woman, how do you make sure that you embrace equality? When you are the decision maker how do you make sure you are not gender biased?

I believe that networking is about forming trust and helping one another towards reaching a specific goal. My personal mantra of “we rise by lifting others” is one that I can not only strongly believe in, but also actively live by.

● Do you believe that gender inclusive policies are justified with an increasing number of women in the industry while still not being a 50% strength or close?

Social and behavioural norms that are expected to be adhered to by women in both their personal and professional lives have always severely constrained the growth potential of women. It’s time to render these outdated and obsolete thinking processes obsolete and make gender diversity and inclusivity the cornerstone of an organization’s culture. Companies will need to place onus on implementing a zero-tolerance gender segregation policy and ensuring gender balance across diverse organisational roles and levels.
