New Delhi, India –The Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) is pleased to announce the successful completion of Track 2 of the IndiaSkills 2024 Hospitality Competitions, held from April 27th to May 1st, 2024. This significant event forms a key part of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship’s IndiaSkills 2023-24 program, conducted in collaboration with the National Skill Development Council (NSDC).  IndiaSkills 2024 serves as a vital stepping stone to the prestigious WorldSkills competition, often referred to as the “Olympics of Skills.”

Through a comprehensive selection process that included Multiple Choice Questions based assessments and practical competitions, eight finalists were chosen from a pool of 194 talented individuals. These finalists competed across five major hospitality skill areas: Bakery, Cooking, Restaurant Services, Hotel Reception, and Patisserie & Confectionery.

To provide a platform for these skilled professionals to demonstrate their expertise, the competitions were held across designated locations in New Delhi. The Institute of Bakery and Culinary Arts hosted the competitions for Cooking, Bakery, and Patisserie & Confectionery, while Hotel Saket 27 hosted the events for Hotel Reception and Restaurant Service skills. The competitions ensured strict adherence to Occupational Standards in every skill category. Participants displayed their capabilities with remarkable passion and dedication, leaving a lasting impression on the juries.

The THSC looks forward to leveraging the IndiaSkills platform to further develop and nurture the next generation of hospitality professionals in India.
