With over six years of extensive bar experience and a passion for creating unique and memorable beverage experiences, Akshay brings his expertise and innovation to elevate the bar offerings at The Westin Mumbai Garden City.
Akshay Suresh Sail has consistently demonstrated his commitment to providing personable and exceptional service throughout his career. His journey in the world of mixology has been nothing short of remarkable. He began his professional career as a Bartender at JW Marriott, Juhu, where he honed his skills and served as the Bar in charge of banquets. Akshay’s flair for innovative setups and crafting VIP-worthy cocktails made him stand out.
His career continued to flourish, leading him to the position of Head Bartender at Hyatt Regency, Stax, where he maintained bar inventory and ensured an unparalleled guest experience. His attention to detail and ability to cater to guest preferences set him apart.
With a penchant for leading teams and setting high standards, Akshay served as a Supervisor Bartender at Food Matters India Pvt Ltd – The Table. Here, he not only presented exceptional cocktails but also handled guest inquiries and feedback. Most recently, at Grand Hyatt, Akshay’s role as Team Leader encompassed a wide array of responsibilities, including scheduling, stock management, budgeting, and menu creation. His commitment to delivering excellence has been unwavering.
After graduating from Hotel Management at Rizvi Academy of Hospitality Management, Mumbai, Akshay holds various certifications, including a Bartending Course, Cocktail and Dreams Certification, and a Carving Course from Khan Carving. His skill set encompasses various aspects of the food and beverage industry, from crafting creative cocktail menus to handling inventory and P&L for the bar. He excels in building customer relations and providing top-notch service.
