The Leela Gandhinagar appoints Prakash Shah as Director of Engineering
Gandhinagar: The Leela Gandhinagar has appointed Prakash Shah, a veteran in the hospitality industry, as the new Director of Engineering. In this role, Mr. Shah will also oversee engineering operations at the Mahatma Mandir Convention
Gandhinagar: The Leela Gandhinagar has appointed Prakash Shah, a veteran in the hospitality industry, as the new Director of Engineering. In this role, Mr. Shah will also oversee engineering operations at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre, managed by The Leela Gandhinagar.
Mr. Shah has over 32 years of experience, having worked with prestigious hospitality brands such as Oberoi, Taj, Accor and Radisson Hotels. His most recent role was as Corporate Head of Engineering at Radisson Blu MBD Hotel, where he led engineering and maintenance operations across multiple locations.
With a proven track record in operations and maintenance, Mr. Shah has vast expertise in hotel pre-opening setups, managing handovers and takeovers of new projects and facility management. His experience spans areas such as procurement, contract management, mechanical integrity and compliance with statutory requirements. He has also spearheaded initiatives on energy conservation through cutting-edge systems and technology implementations.

Mr. Shah completed a diploma in electrical engineering and a certificate course as electrical service technician from the Technical Examination Board, Gujarat.
