The industry is already on the right path with self-sustaining water bottling plants, herb gardens within hotels and removing all microplastics which cause irreparable harm to our environment. Many hotels are also turning to infrastructural changes which are internationally sanctioned. Many such classifications layout a simple framework for ‘green buildings’ of the future making them self-sufficient and non-toxic to the environment in their operation and build.

A model approach to this also has buildings which have maximum natural lighting to ensure non-dependence on electricity thereby reducing the need of coal-produced electricity. These buildings are also equipped with solar panels and are typically supplied with energy generated from sustainable sources. Such buildings are also kept naturally cooled.

With increased electric vehicles, a great change is being made for the better with more hotels providing electric charging stations in partnerships with many companies. Regarding this we see many rallies being held along lines of sustainable and eco-friendly transport methods. Many hotels also have fleets of electric vehicles with power generated through eco-friendly methods such as the use of solar panels in the hotels. This aids in reduction of dependence on energy generated from burning of fossil fuels which are rapidly depleting and harming our planet.

In response to such innovative designs, service standards have also kept up with many hotels setting up measures for training employees and educating guests in sustainable practices. Such practices begin from the moment they enter to when they leave. In regard to this vigorous training exercises are conducted for employees to understand the importance of environmental practices and using such practices in their daily work and lives. Many new innovations are taught and with new technologies the trainings keep getting updated to make everyone more aware of the dos and don’ts.

An important trend also emerging within hotels is holistic and wholesome living practices ensuring peace of mind and a balanced life. While everything begins at home it is important to take the lessons of wellness wherever you are. Especially during work and while relaxing, wellness is not just about eating right and sleeping well. Holistic wellness encompasses all aspects of one’s life. Being more aware of your surroundings and practicing healthy habits is very important in today’s day and age. At many hotels, such practices start from ensuring the room is designed to best accommodate guests sleeping habits and providing comforts which aid in the same. From different yoga and gym routines to superfoods and

rich fulfilling meals at restaurants, it is all tied together to give the best experiences that cater to your wellbeing.

Many hotels also ensure each employee is fit with balanced meals and regular tips and tricks for wellness. There are also health check-camps provided to ensure they get the best of medical care with tie-ups to renowned institutions ensuring all is well.
