New Delhi, Sept 15: The FHRAI Institute of Hospitality Management (FHRAI-IHM) welcomed its new batch of students on 1st September, 2022 which also recorded the highest number of student enrolments since the pandemic first hit in 2019. The latest batch is the second academic year since the institute became affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT). An induction program for batch 2022-23 was held in the presence of industry stalwarts including Chef Sireesh Saxena, Former Vice President of ITDC Hotels and Mr Rishabh Tandon, Director HR, IHG Hotels.
Students and guardians were briefed about the upcoming professional journey by the industry professionals and the FHRAI-IHM team including Mr Arun K. Singh, Director, FHRAI-IHM and Mr Jaison Chacko, Secretary General of the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI).
“The last couple of years had almost put a pause on the number of students enrolling in hospitality education but we are excited to inform that our institute has registered its highest student enrolments this year, post affiliation with the prestigious NCHMCT. The industry itself went through testing times and hospitality education too had taken a serious hit. The last academic year witnessed a poor response and turnout of hospitality-education aspirants. During these tough times, FHRAI-IHM and other hospitality institutes showed great resilience and survived the challenging times. Now that the sector is slowly coming back to normalcy, we are witnessing a revival in the education domain too. A large number of students turning up for admissions in this session is a positive sign of the good times ahead. FHRAI-IHM is committed to imparting world-class education and training to our students. We are pledged to continue providing highly skilled manpower for the hospitality sector. We welcome the new batch to join us on a journey to explore the world of hospitality and wish them all the very best,” says
Mr Arun Kumar Singh, Director, FHRAI-IHM.
