Hyderabad, 29th August 2024: Hyderabad’s premier MICE destination renowned for its exceptional service and comfortable accommodations, is excited to announce the appointment of John Paul as the new Director of Engineering. With an impressive background in engineering and hospitality management, Paul will oversee the hotel’s engineering department, driving innovations and maintaining the highest standards of facility excellence.
He brings over two decades of extensive experience in the hospitality engineering sector. With a proven track record in operational excellence and sustainable initiatives, John is set to spearhead the engineering team.
John’s expertise and dedication to the field have earned him numerous accolades, including the Accor Excellence Award in Sustainable Development and the Accor South Asia Award for Engineering Person of the Year 2021. His appointment marks a significant step towards further strengthening the engineering capabilities at Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & HICC.
Mr. Rubin Cherian, General Manager of Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre and Hyderabad International Convention Centre, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are delighted to have John join our team. John Paul is originally from Tamil Nadu and has held several significant positions within Accor Hotels. He was instrumental in implementing energy conservation measures that significantly reduced the carbon footprint per available room during his tenure. His innovative approaches, such as integrating renewable energy, bio-diesel and water conservation methods from AC condensation etc., have consistently demonstrated his commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency.
