NAVI MUMBAI, 5th JUNE 2024 : Marriott Executive Apartments Navi Mumbai is proud to spearhead a cleanup and plantation initiative at the Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary on June 5th, 2024, in honor of World Environment Day.

This initiative reflects the city’s vibrant spirit, where flamingos hold a pivotal role in tourism. Known as one of Asia’s largest mangrove patch spanning 26 kilometers, the northern part of which is designated as the Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary by the Government of Maharashtra, this area hosts significant flamingo populations and various migratory bird species. Collaborating with the Coastal and Marine Biodiversity Centre, Marriott Executive Apartments Navi Mumbai planted 258 usaplings and cleaned the wetlands to preserve this distinctive ecosystem, combat climate change and raise awareness on environmental conservation.
