Le Royal Meridien Chennai is pleased to announce the appointment of Bharathi Perumal as its new Hotel Manager. With more than 20 years of international experience in luxury hospitality, Bharathi is known for his strategic leadership and consistent delivery of exceptional results in operations, revenue management, and guest experience.
Bharathi holds an impressive academic background, including a Degree in Hotel Management, a Master’s degree, an M.Phil., and a Wine Sommelier certification from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts, USA. His career is marked by his ability to surpass revenue targets, create exceptional guest experiences, and generate strong returns for stakeholders.
In his new role at Le Royal Meridien Chennai, Bharathi will apply his extensive experience in hotel operations and strategic planning to drive profitability, optimize processes, and elevate the luxury guest experience. His leadership contributed to achieving significant results in guest scores, total revenue, GOP, and Colleague Heartbeat scores in 2022 and 2023.
Previously, Bharathi served as Director of Operations at InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram and Regional F&B Champion for IHG Hotels & Resorts, where he oversaw the launch of over 18 unique restaurant concepts. His past roles also include Operations Manager at Crowne Plaza Kochi and Director of Operations at InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram, along with positions at Radisson and One & Only Royal Mirage Dubai. Bharathi’s accomplishments have been recognized with several awards, including the IHG R&B Impact Award 2023 for the IMEA Region and the Best Hotel Manager of the Year 2023 by the Hospitality Excellence Awards.
