The visit, which began on September 30, 2024, strengthened ties between the two nations, expanding cooperation in multiple sectors, including technology, energy, education, and security.

The Government of Jamaica, in collaboration with its public bodies and industry stakeholders, recently observed the Tourism Awareness Week (TAW) 2024, running from September 22-28. Themed “Tourism and Peace: Out of Many, One Love,” this year’s celebration aligned with the United Nations World Tourism Organization’s global theme for World Tourism Day, which emphasizes the role of tourism in fostering peace worldwide.
