Chennai, July 2024 – Hyatt Regency has announced the appointment of Ms. Kanjana Nikesri as the new Asian Chef De Cuisine for the restaurant Stix. With a distinguished career spanning multiple prestigious establishments, Kanjana brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for culinary excellence to our team.
Kanjana’s culinary journey began with a Western-Thai Culinary Course at Dusit Thani College, complementing her bachelor’s degree in Geography from Ramkhamhaeng University. She has held significant roles, including Asian Chef De Cuisine at Sahara Star Hotel in Mumbai, where she excelled in menu design, food cost control, and ensuring the highest quality of food. Her expertise spans various Asian cuisines, including Chinese, Thai, Malaysian, Indonesian, Korean, and Japanese.
Prior to Sahara Star, Kanjana served at Ariyasub Co. Ltd and The Chedi Muscat Hotel in Oman, where she was responsible for menu design, food cost control, and staff training. She also held key positions at Kempinski Ishtar Dead Sea, OZO Samui, Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche Hotel, and JW Marriott Hotel Dubai, starting her career at Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach.
Kanjana has completed several training programs, including Essential Train the Trainer at Kempinski Ishtar Dead Sea and Essential Food Safety Training from the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority. Her diverse skills range from carving vegetables and fruits to preparing various Asian dishes.
As the Asian Chef De Cuisine at Stix Kanjana will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Asian culinary operations, developing and implementing innovative menus, maintaining high culinary standards, and ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our patrons.
