Chennai, July 2024 – Hyatt Regency Chennai has announced the appointment of Ashok Ram Kumar as the new Assistant Director of Food & Beverage. Ashok brings over 16 years of extensive experience in the hotel industry, with a strong background in food and beverage operations.

Ashok holds a degree in Hotel and Catering Management from Jaya College of Arts and Science. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated exceptional skills in customer service management, complaint handling, retail operations, and guest satisfaction enhancement. His ability to lead teams, improve sales and margins, and implement cost-reduction strategies has been pivotal in his previous roles.

Prior to joining Hyatt Regency Chennai, Ashok had a significant tenure at Hilton Chennai, where he held various positions, including Banquet Manager and Restaurant Manager. His notable achievements include maintaining high hygiene standards, achieving budget goals during the pandemic, and earning multiple awards for his outstanding performance.

Ashok’s career at Hyatt Regency Chennai began in August 2022 as an Outlet Manager. His outstanding performance led to his promotion to Assistant Director of Food & Beverage in July 2023. In his new role, he will be overseeing all food and beverage operations, developing strategies to enhance guest satisfaction, and ensuring the smooth running of the department. He will be working closely with the F&B management team to coordinate schedules, set goals, and drive operational success.
