Appointed as Hyatt Ahmedabad’s new sous chef, overlooking the kitchen operations of Mrs. Mage, Chef Ameya Rege comes with an experience of 10 years in modern European cuisine. According to him,” it’s all about food and eating, it’s as simple as that”. He has contributed to creating a new market for European cuisine in Ahmedabad as the culinary leader of Mrs. Mage.
Before Hyatt Ahmedabad, Chef Ameya’s journey started from one of the well-known, modern European restaurants in Mumbai. He expanded his expertise in hotels like Park Hyatt Goa and Maldives where he mastered his techniques to cook exotic seafood.
He further went ahead mastering the art of cooking classical Italian cuisine in Goa from one of the finest Italian chefs, Chef Saulo Bacchilega. Further on in his journey, he even got an opportunity to work in a restaurant owned by famous three Michelin star Chef, where he gained hands on experience in world cuisine & molecular gastronomy.
