Eco-friendly and sustainable tourism has become a priority for hospitality leaders and hoteliers around the world with travellers wanting to travel more responsibly. Every step taken to reduce the carbon footprint at every level of the industry counts.
With ‘Responsible Luxury’ as its guiding premise, ITC Hotels combine grandeur with sustainability to operate according to the highest principles of environmental stewardship. A GRIHA 5 star and LEED® platinum rated hotel, ITC Kohenur’s contemporary design is built to offer energy-efficient Responsible Luxury. The design integrates passive solar design strategy along with state-of-the-art equipment and controls to help reduce overall energy consumption and enhance the guest stay experience. Our building uses highly efficient glass surfaces to ensure reduced solar heat gain. 85.2% of regularly occupied areas are day-lit and so reduce the demand of artificial lighting.
In line with this ethos, the hotel also uses high-tech green initiatives like one-hundred-percent LED lighting, a green roof, a unique building structure that captures maximum sunlight. Replacing plastic bottles with our pioneered Sunya Aqua zero-mile water and eliminating the need for transportation by bottling in-house, we deliver luxury and sustainability without compromising on either. Apart from that there is also provision of on-site organic waste convertor and enhanced indoor air quality by using PHI cell technology to provide safer working environment. The hotel also uses 60% of locally sourced ingredients.
Our Sleeep initiative is also mindfully curated towards wellness and to help guests experience a good night’s sleep. This initiative comprises an organic environment designed to promote sleep including conducive food, room ambience – lighting, linen, music.
All our Sustainability initiatives inspire our guests to stay, dine and savour their experiences in luxury, without the guilt.
