Goa, India – [Date] – Courtyard by Marriott, Goa Colva is pleased to announce the appointment of Gopinath Vyraperumal as the new Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. Gopinath brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in the hospitality industry, making him an invaluable addition to our team.
In his new role, Gopinath will lead the Food & Beverage Department. His responsibilities include the successful ramp up of the Food & Beverage outlets towards positioning the hotel as South Goa’s favourite dining destination. Gopinath’s proactive approach and dedication to guest satisfaction will drive the department towards achieving its goals.
Before joining Courtyard by Marriott, Goa Colva, Gopinath served as Banquet Manager at The St. Regis Resort, Goa. In this role, he was instrumental in ensuring event guest satisfaction and overseeing the smooth execution of banquet events. His tenure was marked by his commitment to maintaining Marriott’s high standards and delivering exceptional service to guests.
Gopinath also brings extensive experience from his previous roles as Events Service Manager at Hyatt Regency, Ahmedabad, and Restaurant Manager at The Leela, Goa. At Hyatt Regency, he was responsible for managing a significant budget and ensuring the profitability and quality of services. At The Leela, he led a team of 30 members, working closely with the sales team to exceed monthly revenue targets and ensuring positive guest feedback.
Earlier in his career, Gopinath held various positions at ITC Welcome Hotel, Bengaluru, The Oberoi, Dubai, Taj Vivanta, Coimbatore, and The Oberoi, Amar Vilas, Agra. His diverse experience across these prestigious properties has equipped him with a deep understanding of the hospitality industry and exceptional management skills.
Gopinath holds a Diploma in Catering and Hotel Management from SIHMCT, Trichy, and a B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from Tamilnadu Open University. He is proficient in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam, and possesses advanced computer skills, including proficiency in OPERA, MICROS, INFRASYS, TOUCHE, and Microsoft Office.
Gopinath’s dedication to excellence has been recognized with numerous awards, including Best Manager of the Month at The St. Regis, Goa, and Best Manager of the Year at The Leela, Goa. His ability to exceed guest expectations and handle VIP movements has earned him a reputation for outstanding service and leadership.
