Angsana Oasis Spa & Resort, Bengaluru, is delighted to announce the appointment of Rahul Istwal as its new Executive Chef. With over 15 years of extensive experience in food and beverage production, Rahul brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of culinary excellence to the Angsana team.

Rahul’s distinguished career is marked by numerous accolades, including the prestigious Premium Dining Segment Award in 2023 and the Service Excellence of the Department Award for Outstanding Performance from Marigold Hotel in 2013–2014. In 2015, he received recognition for his exemplary work in the success of Dum Biryani at Café Coffee Day and was named Best Performer at The Serai, Chikmagalur. His expertise spans a broad spectrum of culinary practices, with particular emphasis on various Indian cuisines, food styling trends, and recipe standardization.

On his appointment, General Manager Ashley James stated, “We are thrilled to have Chef Rahul on board. Rahul’s career journey includes key positions at esteemed establishments such as Oakwood Premier Prestige Bangalore, Harsha The Fern in Shivamogga, Oakwood Residence Naylor Road in Pune, Le Meridien Paro Riverfront in Bhutan, and Lemon Tree Hotel in Hyderabad. His ability to lead teams, enhance manpower, and maintain consistency in food quality has earned him recognition as a highly skilled and dedicated professional in the hospitality industry.

Rahul holds a bachelor’s degree in Food and Beverage Production from Sikkim Manipal University. His academic background, combined with his extensive experience, makes him exceptionally well-equipped to lead the culinary team at Angsana. When he’s not in the kitchen, Chef Rahul enjoys playing carrom, cricket, and reading cookery books.
