As a GM, what is your role in terms of procurement?

General Manager is involved step by step in all the initial process of service, goods selection and finalization of the procurement companies. Negotiations are done in the presence of GM along with the finance manager, purchase manager and the required personnel from the revenant department. Policies and procedures for the selection, procurements and other purchase formulations are reviewed and finalized by General Manager.

How closely do you work with the procurement team or purchase department for the same?

General Manager’s office is reachable for the purchase department at any time and whenever required. Purchase manger is unwaveringly supported by GM along with finance head for any decision making process including selection of vendors and finalization of contracts.

Are all purchases at your hotel centralized or are their local options and variations considered?
