In the year 2030, the components of Sustainable Tourism will revolve around Environment-Friendliness, Social Engagement, and Quality of Knowledge. The third component will help individuals in developing strategies for economic pricing, which is essential in order to sustain in the volatile market.

People Prefer Urban Tourism or Cultural Heritage?

In today’s world, Urban Tourism has established itself as a lifestyle rather than a choice in kinds of tourism, given the large section of society that prefers urban environments and experiences at leisure. However, Cultural Heritage is something that people are keener on exploring as it facilitates a connection to history whilst highlighting the rich culture. This in turn creates a better understanding and stronger social connection. In a domestic travel scenario, Cultural Heritage evokes a sense of pride in one’s history. Whereas an international travel setup, Cultural History promotes an understanding of different cultures and enables a feeling of connection and sense of identity.

Solo trips as a major trend in 2030.

In the post-pandemic era, people have a better sense of individual space and spiritual growth, which has increased the urge to experience “Me Time”. Soon this will create a segment where people will be interested in exploring themselves more in terms of

spirituality Vis a vis traveling and connecting with people from different communities and with different backgrounds.

Although taking solo trips has been a trend for many years now, the trend will continue to grow further riding on different reasons and approaches. An extension to this trend is an increase in the number of solo women travelers who have begun exploring tourism from a different perspective.

The travel and tourism industry has seen drastic growth in the post-pandemic era. Looking at the trend, 2030 is expected to consist of more youngsters traveling and an increasingly affluent middle-class and upper-class market. The digitalisation of tourism and travel will give a whole new dynamic to the industry.
