May 2024: Shangri-La Muscat is pleased to announce the appointment of Deepak Mehta as the resort’s new Director of Finance. Deepak joins the team from the St Regis Maldives, having previously served as Director of Finance at Shangri-La New Delhi, and brings a wealth of experience to the role, with almost two decades’ work in financial management in the hospitality industry. A Chartered Accountant by training, Deepak Mehta’s financial acumen, leadership skills and in-depth industry knowledge have opened doors to executive roles at some of the world’s most prestigious hotel brands, with a particular focus on the APEC region.

Deepak’s detail-oriented expertise will be instrumental in fine-tuning the financial management strategy of the complex, which boasts 640 rooms and suites.
