HRAWI Conducts FSSAI’s FoSTaC Programme In Kevadia

Mumbai, June 16: The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI), in collaboration with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), conducted its latest Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) programme

Mumbai, June 16: The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI), in collaboration with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), conducted its latest Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) programme on June 12 at the Fern Sardar Sarovar Resort in Kevadia, Vadodara. The training programme witnessed the participation of 36 professionals from the hospitality industry to enhance their knowledge and skills in ensuring safe and healthy food practices.

The FoSTaC programme was inaugurated by Dr. Pashupathy- Trainer, Mr. Navin Sangwan – Executive Assistant Manager, Mr. Vinod Kumar – HR Manager and Mr. Hemanshu Chauhan – Assistant Secretary General, HRAWI.

The comprehensive training program covered a wide range of important topics, including food handling and preparation, hygiene and sanitation and waste management. By immersing themselves in these key areas, hospitality professionals gained an in-depth understanding of food safety practices and acquired the skills necessary to effectively implement them in their daily operations. HRAWI has successfully trained and certified 2611 professionals in FoSTaC and FSSAI’s Management Training Program, making a remarkable impact across the Western region of India.

The Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India) is a 72 years old Association of Hotels and Restaurants in Western India. Its members include Restaurants and Hotels up to 5-Star Deluxe categories. With membership base spread across Western India, HRAWI covers Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa and Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, and is considered to be the voice of the Hotel Industry. The association is part of the national body of Federation of the Hotels & Restaurants Associations of India (FHRAI), located in New Delhi, which was originally founded in Mumbai in 1950 by the late Mr J.R.D. Tata.
