Maharashtra, June, 2023 – Moonstone Hammock®, the renowned luxury glamping staycation brand, took a significant step towards promoting sustainable tourism and environmental conservation by organizing a beach cleanup drive on June 4th, 2023. The campsite, nestled in the pristine beauty of Alibaug, has been committed to preserving the environment and engaging campers in meaningful initiatives.

During the cleanup drive, campers staying at Moonstone Hammock® actively participated in the campaign, showcasing their dedication to protecting the natural beauty of the beach. Together, they cleaned approximately one kilometer of the beach line, diligently collecting and separating waste to ensure responsible disposal. The collected waste was handed over to the local governing body for further processing, contributing to the overall cleanliness and conservation efforts of the region.

To acknowledge the valuable contribution of the campers, Akash Singh, the Campsite Manager at Moonstone Hammock® in Awas, Alibag,  presented certificates to the participants, recognizing their commitment to preserving Mother Nature. Additionally, the campers also received complimentary coolers as a token of appreciation for their efforts towards environmental sustainability.

Sabber, the Campsite Manager in Shelu, Karjat, focuses on reducing plastic waste by providing reusable bottles to guests. Manish, the Thakursai, Pawna Campsite Manager, has allocated a part of the campsite to a local farmer, thereby supporting the local economy and providing livelihood opportunities.
