India, 07th October 2024 – The Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) is set to make a significant return to ITB Asia in Singapore this year, marking its first participation in the event in 16 years. This move underscores IMOT’s growing focus on the Asian market, especially India, which has emerged as a vital player in Israel’s tourism landscape.

IMOT’s presence at ITB Asia, from 23rd to 25th October will highlight Israel’s commitment to building strong partnerships in the region, with a specific emphasis on India and Philippines.

This year, IMOT’s booth will introduce the theme for the 2025 Jubilee Year, an important event in the Catholic Church, celebrated every 25 years as a time for forgiveness and reconciliation. The theme, “Pilgrims of Hope,” is expected to draw attention from travelers seeking spiritual journeys,

“Our return to ITB Asia after 16 years reflects the immense importance we place on the Asian market. We are excited to reconnect with our partners in the region and introduce Israel’s rich cultural heritage and modern attractions to a new generation of Asian travelers. As we approach our Jubilee year, we invite travelers from across the continent to join us in this momentous celebration.”

H.E. Haim Katz Minister of Tourism

The Israeli delegation will feature prominent representatives from both headquarters and Asian offices, including Ambassador Peleg Pablo Lewi, Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Minister; Hassan Madah, Director of International Marketing; and representatives from Asian offices, including Roy Kriezman, Consul Tourism Affairs (China); Amruta Bangera, Director of Marketing (India); and Anna Oraiza Aban, Marketing Manager (Philippines).

For Indian pilgrims, 2025 presents a unique opportunity to be part of the Jubilee Year, where indulgences can be obtained by visiting sacred sites such as the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem and the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth. This spiritual journey promises to offer Indian devotees a profound and meaningful experience.

The Israel Ministry of Tourism extends a special invitation to Indian attendees at ITB Asia to visit their booth and explore the wealth of cultural, spiritual, and historical experiences that Israel has to offer, particularly in light of the upcoming Jubilee Year.
