ITC Grand Central celebrated World Environment Day on June 5, 2024, with a series of impactful initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness.
As part of the celebration, the team at ITC Grand Central engaged in various activities that reflected their commitment to environmental stewardship:
- Tree Plantation: Employees of the hotel participated in a tree plantation drive at the kitchen garden of ‘IHM Mumbai,’ a renowned Institute of Hospitality. This initiative not only contributes to greenery but also supports future leaders in the hospitality industry.
- Community Engagement: The team also visited the recreational grounds of the public charitable trust ‘Sparsh Foundation,’ demonstrating their dedication to community involvement and environmental care.
- Tulsi Saplings Give-Aways: Tulsi saplings were distributed to in-house guests and walk-in guests in the lobby, encouraging everyone to contribute to a greener environment.
- Free PUC Check: As part of their commitment to resource conservation, a free Pollution Under Control (PUC) check was conducted for all associates and guest vehicles, promoting eco-friendly transportation practices.
- Awareness Campaign: To raise awareness about environmental issues such as land restoration, desertification prevention, and drought resilience, World Environment Day badges were distributed to guests, employees, and neighbouring communities.

This Environment Day has been a special day to reflect on the beauty of nature and embrace the planet’s positive practices.
