They undergo extensive training to handle a wide range of situations and emergencies, making them indispensable members of the team. • On the 14th of January 2024, aboard flight QP 1519 from Kochi to Mumbai, an unexpected medical emergency unfolded, putting the flight crew’s training and composure to the test. The incident not only showcased their exceptional response but also garnered praise on social media, leaving a lasting impact on all involved. The crew comprising of Dhanya Devasia, Zargaam K, Arnav Agarwal, Kritika Rana sprang into action, swiftly assessing the situation and providing assistance with calm efficiency. Among the passengers was a doctor, whose presence proved invaluable in the critical moment. As the situation unfolded, the doctor witnessed the crew’s professionalism and dedication firsthand. Impressed by their handling of the crisis at 30,000 feet, the doctor took to Twitter to express their appreciation. In a tweet (@theliverdr), the doctor commended the flight attendants, particularly noting their exceptional care and lack of exhaustion throughout the ordeal. The social media post not only shed light on the crew’s commendable response but also underscored the importance of preparedness and expertise in handling unforeseen challenges. The shared experience left an indelible mark on all involved, emphasizing the value of teamwork and quick thinking during critical moments.

• On 7th January 2024, a passenger in Akasa Air flight QP 1486, from Port Blair to Chennai suffered a cardiac arrest and the cabin crew on board comprising of Nida Khan, Anuja Sharma Sumiya Khatoon, Gracy Rongmei and Pragya Singh handled the situation very well and revived the passenger to a point where the passenger started responding verbally.
