Mumbai, India – In celebration of International Women’s Day, The Westin Mumbai Garden City proudly announces its collaboration with SNEHASADAN, a distinguished organization committed to rehabilitating street and orphan children. As part of this meaningful partnership, The Westin Mumbai Garden City is dedicated to providing career opportunities and steadfast support to girls aged 18 and above from SNEHASADAN homes, ensuring they receive the education and resources necessary to shape brighter futures.

“We believe in the inherent potential of every individual, regardless of their background,” says Mr. Sumeet Suri, General Manager at The Westin Mumbai Garden City. “Through our partnership with SNEHASADAN, we aspire to empower these young women to realize their full potential and pursue their dreams with confidence.”

The Westin Mumbai Garden City’s commitment to female empowerment extends beyond mere assistance; it is about fostering long-term growth and independence. By providing career guidance, educational opportunities, and mentorship programs, The Westin Mumbai Garden City aims to equip these girls with the tools and resources they need to thrive in their chosen paths.

The Westin Mumbai Garden City will extend its support through the following initiatives:

Life Skills Training: Recognizing the importance of basic life skills, workshops and mentorship programs will be offered to help girls develop essential skills such as financial management, finding housing, and accessing healthcare services.

Soft Skills Training: To enhance employability, The Westin Mumbai Garden City will conduct workshops on communication, interviewing techniques, and workplace etiquette. This will include mock interviews and resume-building workshops led by experienced professionals.

Hospitality Careers: Leveraging its expertise in the hospitality sector, The Westin Mumbai Garden City will provide training and job opportunities in roles such as housekeeping, front desk operations, and food service. This includes apprenticeships, on-the-job training, and potential employment opportunities within the hotel.

In the hospitality industry, where women have historically been underrepresented, The Westin Mumbai Garden City recognizes the importance of creating pathways for women to succeed. With its background in hospitality, the hotel is poised to offer training and job opportunities in roles such as housekeeping, front desk operations, and food service. Through the above programs, The Westin Mumbai Garden City aims to encourage more women to pursue careers in hospitality and break barriers in the industry.

“Our partnership with SNEHASADAN reflects our commitment to creating inclusive environments where everyone has the opportunity to succeed,” adds Mr. Suri. “Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of these young women, empowering them to chart their own paths and shape their destinies.”

Established in 1962, SNEHASADAN is a renowned Mumbai-based organization dedicated to rehabilitating homeless and vulnerable children.
