Mumbai, Oct 13: The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI is set to host a seminar titled ‘Life, Property and Environment Safety for the Hospitality Industry’ on October 16, 2023, at the picturesque Resort Marinha Dourada in Arpora, North Goa. The seminar aims to comprehensively tackle safety concerns including environmental, in hotels and restaurants. The event will provide vital insights and educate participants on the measures required to be implemented for the safety of all present at hospitality establishments. Additionally, the seminar is also part of HRAWI’s commitment towards promoting Tourism and Green Investments and exploring various avenues for promoting eco-friendly practices within the industry.

The event boasts an esteemed line-up of speakers, including Mr Ishrat Alam, Asst. Director, India Tourism, Goa Ministry of Tourism, who will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Joining him are Mr. Menino Proenca, Director of Resort Marinha Dourada as the Guest of Honour; Mr Ashok Menon, Former Director, Goa State Fire & Emergency Services, who will deliver the keynote address; and Mr Hemant Khadse, CEO of East Corp Group, who will serve as the Technical Speaker.

A noteworthy highlight of the seminar is the panel discussion titled ‘Luxury to Responsibility: Hospitality’s Journey Towards Safety and Sustainability.’ The panel will feature industry experts including Mr Ashok Joshi, Director of Joshi Engineering Consultancy & Chairman of Indian Plumbing Association, Goa Chapter; Mr Devendra Arolkar, Director & Board Member of Mohit Minerals Ltd. & Project Director of Jubliant Hospitality; Mr Mandar Zaware, VP, Design & Project Management, Marriott International; and Mr Bharat Kamat, Chairman, IGBC, Goa & Partner, Kamat Infra Tech.

This seminar promises to be an enlightening experience, shedding light on the evolving landscape of safety and sustainability in the hospitality sector, and empowering participants with knowledge essential for creating secure environments within their establishments. Its members include Restaurants and Hotels up to 5-Star Deluxe categories. With membership base spread across Western India, HRAWI covers Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa and Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, and is considered to be the voice of the hospitality Industry.
