Equality at work is a hot topic. But what does it mean to be equal? It’s not just about having equal pay, but also about having equal opportunity—the chance to grow and thrive in your career. It’s no secret that women have been fighting for equality in the workplace for decades. It’s also no secret that they’ve made some progress, but there’s still a long way to go.

Women only compose 19% of CEOs in management roles even though we have been campaigning for equal rights for the past years. Although the United Nations passed the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women or CEDAW, this does not mean that women are close to achieving equality in the workplace.

Women are not represented well in the workplace, which undermines workforce productivity and growth. In the workplace, there are many women who are treated unfairly because of their gender. This can happen in multiple ways, such as being paid less than a man for the same work or having to work extra hours for no extra pay. The workplace should be a place where people are treated equally regardless of their gender.

At Signum Hotels, we strive to shatter the glass ceiling and ensure that our employees are equals in every single way possible. We do this by providing equal opportunities for all employees, regardless of gender. This includes everything from how they’re hired and promoted, to how they’re treated at work and even how they’re compensated for their work. We believe that everyone deserves fair treatment, regardless of whether they’re male or female! We recognize that female and male employees deserve the same opportunities in the workplace. We do this by ensuring that all of our employees are treated equally and fairly, whether during a promotion process or by paying them comparably for equal work.
