Commercial kitchens are still male dominant. How does your workplace embrace equality?

My kitchen runs on the skills possessed by an individual irrespective of their gender. However, I personally believe that gone are those times when this industry was male dominated because now, it’s not the gender but the quality of work that matters.

My workplace embraces quality by not discriminating on the basis of gender, and by ensuring that women feel safe in their work environment and get equal opportunity & responsibilities as the men.

As a Female chef do you have any challenges and what are your biggest strength?

It is no secret that the professional kitchen is one of the toughest places to work, and requires a lot of stamina and hardwork but as they say, passion overpowers any shortcomings.
Patience has always been my companion. Be it a mad and hectic service day or a day packed with work. Being patient has kept me going through all this hassle. I personally believe that it’s a quality every chef should possess.
