How does your workplace embrace equality?
Diversity is in our team at ITC Grand Central. Across the hierarchy in this beautiful responsible luxury brand. Across all departments in the hotel. We have ladies in our Security team, Firefighting team too. We have solo ladies. Single ladies, mothers and wives working with us, spread across various departments.
As a woman, how do you make sure that you embrace equality? When you are the decision maker how do you make sure you are not gender biased?
As a woman, I embrace equality by sharing my thoughts and also setting the transparencies in the set criterias.
This includes human rights in the training programmes with regular refresher sessions and enabling in developing full potential of the team.
Also, as a decision maker, I take extra care in the use of language, tone of speech and body language and sharing accountability across all roles and areas in the hotel.
Do you believe that gender inclusive policies are justified with an increasing number of women in the industry while still not being a 50% strength or close?
